On cycle hasn't even started for '27 why would anyone know when it would start for '28

 

Blud what are you saying? On cycle 2027 hasn’t kicked off yet and likely will in Q1 of “26. On-cycle 2028 won’t kick off for a while. If you’re getting HH volume it’s a mixture of ‘27 opportunities + headhunters wanting to meet new analysts. So everything is pretty standard don’t freak out

 

No '26 on-cycle happened this week so assume similar will happen next year. They'll likely start reaching out when you hit the desk

 

I’ve had 4 individual chats with headhunters so far. Top target and incoming at top bank tho

 

On-cycle is going to be closer to this year's timeline than 2024's. PE firms internally are not trying to step on the toes of the largest banks / capital providers. Jamie Dimon holds too much sway.
