Only associate in a small P/E

Hello.

I'm new here but just have skimmed through about 30 pages of the topics posted here. Parts of my question have been answered here and there, but I was wondering whether you guys could provide some more / new insights to my question:

What's the work, life, hours, etc. of the only associate (and only junior) in a US$200-300mm fund ran by a 4-person team (3 MD/Ds and 1 VP) likely to be like? Would all the work be dumped onto the associate, thus translating into banking hours (even though work may be more interesting and meaningful)? Believe the fund aims to execute 2-6 deals a year, and with the associate on board, the fund may run 2 deals in parallel instead of just 1. The fund is sector focused and based in Hong Kong (but any thoughts on US funds would be much appreciated!).

Really appreciate your thoughts! Thank you!
