OTPP just announced workers can spend a month working remotely anywhere in the world. Curious if everyone thinks other firms might move towards this common tech company perk? Or if anyone else has a policy like this.Personally, it seems like a great way to retain talent without paying them more - exactly like allowing work from home.

They are allocators, bro. They don't generate deal flow.
Not sure where you've heard this, they both have direct investment platforms... Yes they're allocators so the deals all come knocking directly on their door, but they aren't just shelling out equity checks to GPs and leaving it there (at least that's not all they're doing).
Lol yeah these biggest asset allocators have direct PE and HF ARS teams in-house in order to save on fees… off their allocators are some of the best too - multi-asset strats.

Have heard a few other firms also doing 'work from wherever' August and 1-2 firms that are full remote July 4th to Labor Day. I think this will become the norm with 3 days / week in office for most firms over time. Maybe 1-2 weeks in winter months designated as 'remote weeks' as well.
That seems like a great compromise. Especially since MDs are all gone in August anyway haha
