Parthenon Capital in 2024

Any latest thoughts on the firm, comp, WLB and culture? Have heard it can be sweaty but funds have done well and fundraising also seems to be going well. Would also love any colour on their analyst program and how it's perceived in terms of training and exposure.

Great returns and great fundraising with no 2 and out(have some non-MBA senior associates, so assumption). It was fairly high on my list for firms to recruit for, but ended up getting a bigger firm offer so took that instead. It seems like a great place to build a long-term career given their record and by all accounts culture seems tolerable. Would heavily look into especially if the goal isn't to go 2 and out.

Was the other firm being bigger your only consideration? For example how would you think about Parthenon in comparison to Audax, One Rock and similar competitors that also take analysts? Also were you recruiting for ASO or analyst?

I was recruiting for an ASO position. Parthenon is a significantly better spot than Audax frankly speaking, Audax is known to be a hellish experience with very sharp elbows and hard to get promoted in. One Rock is significantly smaller than both funds. Personally, for me, Audax was simply not on my list as I don't think I'd ever want to build a career or work there, but of course, that's different for everyone. I am just kind of curious since I never did PE Analyst recruiting, how does your process work and are you/most of the successful applicants people who did junior summer IB?

Why is it considered hard to get promoted in at Audax? I thought they don't require an MBA and encourage internal promotion
