Partners Group FA Program 2023

Starting a topic for Partners Group FA Program 2023 since I did not see one.

Even for those who didn't apply but still know about the firm, what are your thoughts on PG/what's the word on the street?

Huge grind, PG does not use buy side advisor so FAs end up doing all the shitty tasks. If you are in the US, it's in a pretty bad location for changing jobs. Comps below market.

It's not the worst but really far from the best

Appreciate the insight. Do you know anyone who works there? I heard they bumped the pay recently

I know several people who worked/are working there. Pay was bumped end of last year (also was an extraordinary year so helped) but is IMHO still below market. Carry is also not as attractive (fund based only). I think they are trying, and they hired a new HR last year so it may improve, but what I have heard about culture and hours would make me run anyway

Can you please elaborate on culture? I interviewed there last year and it seemed like a pretty unique shop, office, and location. I get the Denver thing is off-putting to most in finance, but it can also be pretty unique if you don't want to be a total hardo imo. I believe A1 base is now $105k, not sure about bonus but I've heard total comp is below market as well. But culture is just hard to gauge in interviews, so anything you can share is appreciated.
