PE Analyst Comp
Hi All,
I was just wondering if anyone knows what a PE Analyst's compensation looks like, particularly in Canada. I saw that Brookfield takes on analysts sometimes in their Toronto office and was wondering if anyone has insight into what their numbers look like.

Afaik Brookfield pays top of street for analyst positions.
Is this for the Toronto or NY office? Any clue on what is expected of analysts in terms of duties?

Where did you see their PE Analyst posting in Toronto?? I saw a hotel investment analyst posting in London and asked about it on another thread, no response. Seems pretty tough to get some comp intel at the firm, so would be very curious for investment analyst positions in corporate pe and re pe.
Didn’t see a PE analyst in Toronto, but I saw real estate and Insurance. I think for the TO PE team, it’s more of a “reference” that gets you in, some guy went from Queen’s undergrad into BAM TO PE. I also saw that Japan was once hiring a PE Investments Analyst, and London currently has an Infra Analyst role open.
Nothing for PE or RE in TOR at the moment on their careers site mate.
As a "Analyst 2 in IB - Gen", why are you interested in PE analyst positions?
Typically BAM requires 1-2 years of IBD exp before moving into one of their PE analyst roles, all the associates have 3+ years of IBD exp. Also think that going into an analyst role will help with certain skill building, and will help me out with getting a handle of the ropes vs jumping right into assoc where it’s “hit the ground running”
