PE Associate Comp by MF/UMM/MM
Having trouble finding accurate total comp figures in PE at the associate level. Since it is much more firm-dependent than in IB, it would be really helpful if I could get an understanding of the ranges that an associate should expect at a MM (~$1B-$5B fund), UMM (~$5B-$10B fund), and MF (~$10B+ fund).
Taking a shot based on friends and experience. All for first years.
LMM:$175 - $210 MM: $200-$250 UMM: $235-$290 MF:$300-$375
Will headhunters tell you the comp for the firms that you're looking at or is it only known after getting an offer?
They won’t tell you and you shouldn’t ask
This seems accurate, at least for LMM and MM
Accurate for MF too. UMM is harder to pin down as some firms in that size range do pay closer to MF, but not necessarily all of them
LMM figure looks accurate to me
know someone at a MF making 390-395 all in
Apollo?
