PE associate comp in London
Hi everyone, as I am currently negotiating an offer with a large cap fund in London, I was wondering what is average PE comp structure in London at associate level. Also was wondering if signing bonuses were common practice.
Any insight would be highly appreciated, thanks!

I am not sure what your negotiating power is with a MF if you don’t have multiple offers tbh - what they offer you should be offered to others as well, maybe certain funds will be happy to pay you a decent signing and you can negotiate on that
Here’s a data point:
lateral first year associate
fund size 500-1bn
90 pounds base, 90 target bonus, 25 bps carry
$150k base, 100% bonus, no sign-on (yes London).
Fund size / AUM?
Bump
$15-20bn fund
Bump.
EUR 135k base, 140k bonus (London MF)
Is this in line with comp of your colleagues in the US?
Roughly but I don't have full visibility
Are most MF similar to this?
any datapoints on smaller funds (£1bn)? thanks
Update after speaking with people in the industry - most MF seem to be around ~£90k base + 100% bonus for associate entry level. Carry at VP level
Thanks, very helpful. Any idea how this evolves across levels up to VP? And any insights on carry amounts?
Depending on the fund, increase of £5-10k a year until VP. Nothing on carry structure
