PE / CDD Consulting if interested in tech?

My hypothesis is that working in the PE / CDD group is not helpful if I'm interested in Tech PMM / PM / BizOps / Corp strat (90%) and Early stage venture (10%). Where am I right / wrong?

  • I'm not interested in PE / PE Ops / M&A heavy CorpDev teams / Late stage venture

  • I have done CDD's and I dislike CDD work (eg. long hours, somewhat repetitive)

  • I believe CDD work doesn't really build transferrable skills for my goals or gets severely discounted / misunderstood by hiring managers in my target industry (eg. launched a project/feature, worked on large datasets to solve a problem)
