PE Exit as European Non-Target
I'm currently a first-year associate at a T2 strategy consulting firm in London, focused on CDDs (think LEK, EYP, Strategy&). I'm in London on a work visa, having graduated from a non-target school in the Netherlands. What are my chances of breaking into the deal team of an MM/ LMM PE fund after two years in consulting?
I know I have no chances at MF and LC since I don't have the pedigree, but how do my chances look at smaller funds? Is coming from a non-target school still a significant disadvantage, even after gaining full-time experience? Does speaking English, Dutch and German help?
Would appreciate any advice!
