PE Funds Still Hiring for 2023
An2 at BofA that found out a couple weeks ago I didn’t get A2A - my whole plan was to stay here for longer but now have to scramble to find something before August/September. Realize I have better odds of landing a seat in PE than banking, does anyone know of any funds still hiring for the summer?
Bump
Reach out to all the headhunters and tell them you are looking for immediate starts. May not get a first choice fund but I'm sure there are funds that are still recruiting.
Would HHs still put you in front of funds if you didn’t get the A2A promote?
1. OP should definitely do this
2. Might be a good time to ask everyone how the hiring market is for 2023 starts. In my experience it continues to be very muted
100% in same boat as you. Was promised the promotion then because of bureaucracy, it was delayed another 6 months. Long story short, firm used to promote in January and June/July. Now they only promo in January. Was going to use new asso title as leverage in comp negotiations for new PE role. At this point, I’m just looking to make the jump over even if I have to retain the analyst title for another year because I hate banking now.
Yeah exactly - just looking super tough now to find something decent with the ~2 months of severance left
