Based on the most helpful WSO content, here's what you need to know:

  • Work Hours: Consistently working from 8:30am to 12:30am or later for the past two months.
  • Weekend Hours: Relatively low-key, mostly less than 5 hours total, with a few exceptions of more demanding weekends.

It sounds like you're experiencing a tough schedule, but it's good to hear that weekends are somewhat lighter. Balancing such intense work hours can be challenging, so make sure to find time to decompress and take care of your well-being.

9am hard start to post midnight on most days. Not unusual to hit 2am plus Monday through Thursday. What I don’t think people understand is that these hours are way more intense than banking. You are expected to lead calls and push stuff forward on your own as an associate. I basically can’t start on any comment turning / modeling until 5-6 pm because the days are so jam packed with calls and running down random bullshit.

Shit is so exhausting lol. Even if I get off at 8pm which is rare, I am so drained and can’t bring myself to go get drinks with friends or hit the gym.

At a NYC MF for what it’s worth. Hope it pays off eventually
