How do analysts across the different groups at Goldman Sachs place into Private Equity? I'd bet that groups like TMT and FIG place better than the others like Consumer Retail and Industrials.
I'll be in Consumer Retail full-time so I'm just curious what PE opportunities the less common groups have access to.

If you're referring to buyout PE, most of the NYC groups place lights out. TMT NY is different from TMT SF (more tech focused placement). FIG of course has some of the best HF/Buyout PE/Credit placement.

CRG does just fine. If you want interviews, you’ll mostly be able to get them. From there it really is more about individual preparation than anything related to the group that you’re in
