PE Recruiting - London
When we discuss which groups/banks are best for exits, is this because these coverage/product groups have a strong reputation with headhunters? Or is it because that group will see you getting strong dealflow/opportunities to model etc?
I am aware that a second language is very important, but am interested in some perspective on what it is that recruiters actually look for in an analyst. For example if you are at a weaker group in a lower tier BB/EB, but by chance have strong transaction and modelling experience, will you get many opportunities? Or is it as simple as, if your bank/group does not have a strong reputation on the street/with headhunters, your opportunities are limited?
