PE recruiting without test scores

I am graduating from a target with a 3.7 and I will be an analyst at an EB in a well-respected group. I’m interested in participating in PE recruiting but I never took the SAT or ACT and I have heard that test scores are important.

I don’t have test scores because I transferred from a community college during COVID when my college did not require us to submit test scores. Also, enrolling at CC did not require test scores.

Is this going to be an issue not having test scores on my resume? Should I note that I never took any standardized tests? Should I study for the ACT with my brother who’s in HS and taking it soon? Should I take the GMAT?

I agree with BoringAssociate’s assessment. You definitely shouldn’t go back and take the SAT/ACT. You’ll need to explain to the funds why you didn’t take the tests in the first place, but that should be a small hurdle. I’ll also echo that taking the GMAT could be a very good way to eliminate any concerns while also opening up the door to b-school in the future. That said, if you have no interest whatsoever in b-school, it probably isn’t worth it to take the GMAT just for this purpose.
