PE Resume from First Year IB Analyst

Hi guys,

I just started as an analyst on July 10th and we are still in training. However, multiple PE headhunters have already been reaching out and asking for my resume. I interned at the same firm last year, but didn't really gain much "transaction experience". I obviously don't have any transaction experience as an analyst, as I started 10 days ago and we are in training.

What do I do? Do I only talk about my experience in IB for a couple of lines and dedicate most of my resume to previous work experiences (not banking related)? Obviously I know other first-year analysts are in the same position, but how do people typically frame their resume for PE in this scenario?

Mod alert: We have announced a PE Interview boot camp for July 21, 2023. Check it out here: https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/courses/live-training/private-equity-interview-bootcamp. Happy recruiting!

Mod alert 2: The Bootcamp is sold out. If you couldn't get a seat, please check out our PE interview Course. Good luck with the interviews!
