Portfolio Tracking for Angel Fund

Hey guys,

I work for an angel fund that's looking for better ways to track portfolio performance. In the past they've tracked it with rudimentary reports in Excel, but I'm looking to beef it up in order to make it more useful and user friendly. I'd prefer to keep it in Excel and not go with an online software, but was wondering if you guys know of any useful models that already exist? Trying to avoid starting from scratch if I can.

I need something that can track multiple investment types (equity financing, convertible notes, etc.) and show investment performance over time (i.e. IRR, multiple financing rounds, share price over time, etc.) for a private equity portfolio.

Everything I'm finding online is simply tracking individual investments in stocks or mutual funds.

Thanks in advance!
