Private credit or Investment banking

I currently work at a domestic (India) private credit fund ($2.6bn AUM) as an associate but the salary is peanuts but great W/L balance.... I have been approached by Rothschild IB for a senior analyst role and they pay ~2x on the fixed and min 89% variable but crazy hours Long term i want to move to a large private equity.... Question - should I take the IB role and try for PE a year later? Or stay here and try to interview with PEs directly
