Private Equity Investing within HFs (Viking, Elliott, Coatue etc.)

Anyone have perspective on these seats? Viking, Coatue, and Elliott seem to be the most established but there isn’t much info out there — any thoughts on how attractive they are, positioning in the broader platform, etc.? How would you think about an opportunity at one of these places if you’re currently at a MF/UMM firm?

Very familiar with Viking privates, what do you want to know?

You think it’s worth leaving a MF an/aso seat for something like a Viking (for privates)? What’s the culture like? Analyst comp? Promotion visibility? Sorry for the barrage of Qs haha. Thanks!
