Private Equity/Credit Firms that Offer WFH
Do you know of any UK/US-based PE/PC firms that offer WFH opportunities for more senior people in the investment team? Would love to eventually move out of the city while still being employed in a FO role.
We (Hg Capital) have a 2-3 days WFH/2-3 days in office policy. Usually office is packed Tues to Thurs, few folks in on Mondays and Fridays it’s ghost town.
Most partners are based far out of London.
All that being said, I think it is unwise to not be in the office 4-5 days a week as a junior. You can swing it from principal level and beyond, but lots of learning / team building gets done in person tbh.
Thanks! I think this policy is great for juniors, and I agree with the point of showing up when starting a career. However, I cannot imagine living in London as a 50+-year-old. Would love to spend the winters in Switzerland/Italy/Austria and the summers in a warmer climate. I guess I have to save up a lot for the next 25 years...

Would you guys ever hire an MBA intern? I have software experience with what is equivalent to your middle sized fund and a bit of large sized fund.
We used to have an MBA internship but we killed it.
We, UK MM fund are very flexible, similar to the Hg Capital poster it is probably ~3 days in office and ~2 days remote, but no real 'rota'.
You set / decide your schedule which works for you based on the meetings, projects and portfolio you cover.
BlackRock private credit is 3 days in the office per week and 2 weeks of work from anywhere a year
Most NYC offices appear to be 3-4 days / week (with Fridays essentially being off limits)
Did anyone try commuting from another city (i.e. live in DC for 3 days to work, NYC rest of the week)
In the same boat. We are Tue-Thu in office and after spending a year in NY doing this I am planning not renew my NY apartment lease and to travel to NY on office days and spend rest of the week in DC.
