Pulling off Pivoting out of infra

Coming on my first year in infra as an experienced analyst, I’ve realized it’s not for me. My fund is doing fine but I’d like to go to a bigger name in the space and it seems that in infra that necessarily means joining someplace with terrible culture. The thing is, I find certain elements of this job fascinating - evaluating value-add and core+ businesses, real assets, critical services. I just feel like I don’t aspire to mirror the partners at my firm in temperament or experience one day down the road. I’m looking for something more dynamic, with personalities that are more dynamic, comfortable with risk, and hopefully entrepreneurial.

Is industrials that place? Downsides: too many shitty assets, financial engineering common. Or is it tech/AI? Bubble risk imminent. Kind of ranting here but curious if anyone knows what I mean and has a suggestion.
