Question Regarding Using Work Laptop for Case Studies

Hello,

I just had a quick question - Is it okay to use work laptop for case studies? I've heard HR or compliance may check in pretty regularly, but was wondering as long as it is not work related, (or contains client information), is it fine (mainly because my personal laptop is so slow)

For example, what is better? 1. Getting case study or prompt through my persona email, sending it to work laptop and then sending back to personal email and sending it back to the firm 2. Telling the firm to send case study/prompt/materials to my work email directly and then working on my laptop and sending back to the firm
