Coalesce and Baypine have to be the most overhyped firms on WSO. Both have been pretty slow to deploy capital. Also for professional services in particular, huge disruption from AI. Also for professional services in particular, huge disruption from AI.

Something like DAS Health (owned by Coalesce)  is severely at risk of AI disruption because a lot of its value prop is workflow support and managed services (per-seat model that is most at risk) that can increasingly be automated or brought in-house with AI.  A lot of these services firms are pretty screwed unless they miracously avoided the hot professional services sector.

coalesce has struggled to deploy capital + lost big on dead deal fees (heard they dropped out the day before final close).

Is 6 deals and a bunch of add ons in ~3 years deploying capital slowly? Genuinely asking
