Recently joined MF - no ai? wtf

Recently joined a MF from a MM PE Fund where I had 10x'd my output, efficiency, and accuracy by using ai. MF has ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, and even Gmail blocked. This is cooked - feel like I'm back in pre-ai banking days. Anyone found workarounds?

Btw, Claude excel plugin cooks and I dont want to go back to manually doing 100% of the work

Well clearly now you know you are at a sinking ship. Not using AI is simply going to make the fund significantly less efficient than peers. Embracing technology tends to lead to better results across all fields.

Another W for privately owned funds. No wonder these public MF's have crap returns compared to their private MF peers or larger UMM private firms. The compliance nature of large tech companies is why they are so prone to disruption, too bureaucratic and nowhere near agile-enough for a rapidly changing world.

directionally agree with the red tape take but we were practically getting AI shoved down our throats last summer at my BB and seniors were outwardly telling us to use it as much as possible. I think it’s more of a firm attitude thing than a compliance thing.

This is how I feel at JPM. We have to use our shitty internal AI that they spent billions of dollars on because ChatGPT/Claude are blocked

Its so bad
