REPE vs PE - Life decision

I’m stuck in a dilemma. Starting my first job soon don’t know what group to go into in IB. Offer from MM bank. Have an offer from REGAL team or I could try placement process into different groups.

Background: Strong real estate experience (asset level and REIB), strong network within RE (including mf & umm connections). Can see myself get into a large fund.

Recently been interested in traditional PE but don’t know much, have no connections and don’t want to work 120hrs a week in M&A for two years. But it seems more exciting than REPE.

Also worried about not making as much money in REPE as Traditional Buyout or Growth

What should I do?
