SAT/GMAT Scores for MF/UMM PE Recruiting

Currently a second semester senior at a semi-target heading to a mid-BB coverage group. Planning on taking the GMAT this semester since it counts for 5 years, and could potentially benefit on-cycle PE recruiting if I do well enough. For context, I received a 1500 (99th percentile) on the SAT when I took it 7 years ago, and my undergrad GPA is 3.9+ in a difficult major.

What score on the GMAT would be good enough to be put alongside my SAT score during MF/UMM PE recruiting? I was wondering maybe 760+ since that's the 99th percentile. Would be helpful to hear your thoughts as I try to determine a target score.

Semi + 1500 + mid BB (I can't hate I work at CS) is all in the camp of (great not superb). Just go through the process and do the interviews. Don't say you're only going for MF or top UMM cus that may be a bit selective imo... but you know your career goals best so optimize however you can

to answer ur q u gotta get 750+ and delete that 1500 imo.. great score, not superb

Professor of mine suggested 720+ for UMM, but they really want to see the deals you've done above all else. No comment on MFPE - totally different beast.

I would recommend 740 and above. I've had a dude reach out to me via LinkedIn asking for an internship. His resume included this golden line: "Official GMAT score 580, unofficial 650." So he took the real test, got an absolute dogshit score and decided to include that alongside a higher (but still very poor for PE / top MBAs) practice test...

Please don't do this...
