Schwarzman Top Paid CEO in US

Blackstone CEO Stephen Schwarzman was the highest-paid CEO in America last year, pulling in over $700 million:

While disputed by Blackstone (they contend that the bulk of his earnings were in the form of shares vesting from the public offering in 2007 -- and, frankly, they're right), it is still a vast sum of money and an amazing achievement.

"It is reasonably safe to assume that Mr. Schwarzman will remain at the top of (the) highest paid CEOs list, or close to it, for a few years to come," the report says.
