Wondering if anyone has any experience in the Search Fund space with GP's who focus solely on acquisition without personally operating? Ideally looking to build a portfolio of companies for perm equity and stay away from operations or hire new management teams to run the company/companies.
I'm far more interesting with sourcing and making deals than actually operating a company. Does anyone know of any Search Funds currently operating like this?

Know of any Search Funds currently operating like this? I'm a noob in the PE world, wondering if you could point any resources to thinking about a structure like this in micro PE.
That's not the Search Fund model though, what you described in an independent sponsor. They're basically GPs who don't raise a fund and instead go out, source the deal, structure it, then raise the capital to immediately deploy.
