Selling Your Company
Hoping to get a little direction.....
A family member of mine has developed an innovative teaching curriculum with a tech aspect to it. It has been implemented in dozens of school districts with results off the charts and it has gotten great reviews from everyone who has seen it. The issue is that they do not have the means, connections, or manpower to really take it to the next level. It has had huge growth, and they are ready to considering selling a portion of the company. I really feel that it could be attractive to some PE/VC firms.
My question is how to go about approaching these firms, and are there any firms in particular that are strong players in the educational product space?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Can you give a range on annual revenue by any chance? That might help determine if we know firms with an interest or not. I know of 2 in the lower-middle-market that would be interested in taking a look.

Not sure on exact revunue, but between $500K and $1MM. It is still in it's growth phase.
Sterling Partners invests a lot in for-profit education companies. I know they used to have a VC fund but they might have wound that down - this might be too small for their PE fund.
Lightbank
is the company by any chance R3 collaboratives?
