Should I lateral and what about business school?

Because of remote start I haven't ramped up as quickly as I would have liked for personal skills acquisition reasons so I'm wondering about lateraling to a similar sized fund. The idea would be to have a "do-over" where I start strong out of the gates at the next place.

Is this a good idea or should I just finish my current program? Ostensibly for a ~March start I would be there 2.5ish years and push business school back a year. Thoughts?
