Should I Reach Back Out to HR?
Recently interviewed at a PE firm for a junior position. At the conclusion of my last interview, I was given positive signs that I would receive the offer (think: "I'll look forward to seeing you in the office in ___ months"). However, it's been a few weeks and I've received no communication from their office about a formal offer. The final applicant pool was minuscule for this role (< 3). My question is, do I reach out to HR and ask about the role/offer? I don't want to be impatient but it's been a few weeks and I would really need to know an answer to this as another opportunity has just arisen and I need proper information to make the best decision. Please lmk any advice y'all have, thanks!

If it's been a few weeks and you have other opportunities, it's completely fine to follow up. I would have followed up a week after regardless.
It doesn't make you seem "impatient" for following up.
Was in the same boat, a small firm, and the final interview was told something similar. No communication for like 3 weeks and then got an offer via a phone call. Would probably be best to email them
If it's been a few weeks definitely ok following up.
Ok to follow up once, let them know you have another process ongoing, but if you don't hear back would assume rejection
Sucks sometimes. Have gotten the same "soft offer" assurances and then never heard from the firm again
