Should I Reach Back Out to HR?

Recently interviewed at a PE firm for a junior position. At the conclusion of my last interview, I was given positive signs that I would receive the offer (think: "I'll look forward to seeing you in the office in ___ months"). However, it's been a few weeks and I've received no communication from their office about a formal offer. The final applicant pool was minuscule for this role (< 3). My question is, do I reach out to HR and ask about the role/offer? I don't want to be impatient but it's been a few weeks and I would really need to know an answer to this as another opportunity has just arisen and I need proper information to make the best decision. Please lmk any advice y'all have, thanks!
