Softbank backs out of WeWork!
Guys, so it appears all the incredulity over my boy Neumann's payout might have been unnecessary as Softbank seems to have come to their senses and has ditched that POS "stream of consciousness" entity.
On one hand it's sad employees might be under further stress due to lack of funding, but is anyone else Glad Neumann didn't walk away a billionaire after creating this POS business? Imagine the dude is probably pissed as hell.. hah!
Many of our portfolio companies are WW based. Those places have been deserted lately, and that was before covid19!
Wow - Were they deserted before or after WeWork’s issues hit the papers last year? Would help put things in context
WeWork is quite expensive, especially for corporate clients. Some of the corporate teams like digital, marketing, devs, etc are based at WW and it is not cheap at all. These are exactly the teams that would be keen to WFH more often, even before the virus.
Bam!
