For those not working at a PE fund, how do you build co-investment deal flow for personal PE investments? So far I've co-invested in one LBO and invested in a real estate equity fund. You can find real estate syndications to invest in all day long, but its difficult to find business equity syndications (with reasonable minimum equity requirements). Do you cold email / call independent sponsors and funds until something hits?
