Is this for internship or FT?
No experience with them but figure out what size pe funds they invest in, if they do coinvest, how their sourcing looks
If it's full time better understand their operational due diligence standards because you don't want some asshole blindsiding your deal at the last minute because the manager doesn't have 5 compliance people
Figure out how they source. A lot of allocators are lazy and only use placement agents so they have no real relationship with the GP
Also understand their benchmarks and incentive programs. Insurers are run by fixed incomenpeople without a clue about how alts work.
