Stay at GS or go to mid tier MF
This thread has been incredibly helpful for me as I navigated my career and wanted your help.
Currently a second year analyst at top GS classics group in NYC (received top bucket rating end of first year). Have an offer at a solid MF (think Apax / CVC / LGP / EQT / Onex).
I am doing really well at GS and believe I am getting a great experience / getting cold feet as I approach end of my analyst stint. Any thoughts for people who decided to stay and whether it is advisable?
Many thanks in advance.
If you don’t like the MF, GS will likely take you back right? Sounds like there’s nothing to lose.
What was the point of this post?
Would your decision change if it were a different MF?
congrats on Onex
Bump quick
stay at MF
Quick bump
Onex is a good fund. They pay well and good learning experience
Two totally different jobs - if you want to do investing, I'd take the Onex gig. If not, then don't
