Staying in touch with future buyside firm after offer?
Recently accepted offer to join a MM buyout shop on the West Coast for Summer 2021. How do I go about staying in touch with the investment professionals / my point of contact there over the next 6-8 months until I start? Also does anyone have any recommendations on things to do until I start at the firm? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
If you connected with one of their juniors during interviews - I would reach out and ask some of these basic questions. If you didn’t connect with a junior, I would request from your contact someone to reach out to.
Ie;
- Where should I live?
- Can I get by without a car? Etc.
If its a city you have never lived in before, its a pretty easy connection to make.
That’s helpful, what if it’s a senior professional - Principal / MD? Any recommendations there without coming off annoying?
