Successful Turnarounds? Any examples of successful service-based business model turnarounds?
Anyone know any good examples of service-based turnarounds? I've spent time looking at turnarounds in the MSP and BPO space but can't find any solid precedent for turnarounds that worked. All you seem to find is gravestones or companies in the ICU ie. DXC Technologies (IT Services/MSP), Conduent (BPO), IBM etc...
Any turnaround professionals have anything to add here? I know product-based businesses are easier to turnaround for a litany of reasons, none the less, there should be a few examples to point to right?
Not sure what you're looking for but service businesses I've fixed include; trucking, retail, IT service, many distributors (arguably service), commercial construction contractors, recyclers, Servepro franchise, designer and builder of planetarium shows and software, moving company.
Dig through the Turnaround Management Associations rewards over the last few years and you’ll probably find one. They usually post a brief description too and sometimes deeper interviews/case studies.
