Summer 2020 Associate Class - Delayed or Canceled Starts
What else have others heard at their funds about reducing the headcounts of already recruited Associate classes, or delaying their anticipated start date, because of COVID-19?
Was deep in the interview process for two credit funds in midwest - one I had done a case study for (was expecting to hear about an offer in next 1-2 weeks) and for another I was expecting a case study this week. One fund has outright suspending hiring for the time being and the other has delayed even giving me a case, both due to COVID-19. This is brutal.
I recruited on-cycle for a position beginning this summer at a large fund and just received an email that the fund will be rescinding offers...
Damn, this is pretty scary.
How big is the shop? Headed to a UMM this summer and decently nervous now.
What fund? This feels like a pretty drastic measure at this point
