The Riverside Company in 2021

I'm somewhat familiar with this shop and its model. Flagship fund (anyone know the size?) invests in LMM companies up to $400m w/ an emphasis on defensible niches, based in CLE. Does anyone have data regarding compensation and hours at the Associate level for buyout? I'm aware they also have value, growth, and credit funds. Is b-school required for VP promote? Carry? Thanks for the insights - other threads on them is quite dated.

Seems low compared to street. Am I missing something here?

Know 10+ people who’ve interned and work there. Pay is very low but the supposed benefit of working there is that you get a ton of reps as they do a ridiculous amount of add-ons. Additionally, the people that I know that work there are very nice and the culture seems to be solid but hours are unsurprisingly very long given their activity.

I believe their flag ship fund, Riverside Capital Appreciation Fund VII ("RCAF") is $1.5bn (vintage 2019), which would make their RCAF fund flat - 2014 vintage was also $1.5bn. Maybe that's why they were so quiet about their latest raise. Also, I believe RCAF has moved up market a bit and would consider them MM as opposed to LMM. Have seen top performers promoted without MBA.
