Thought I might as well try recruiting for full time PE out of undergrad, which jobs at KKR, Blackstone, etc can I apply for?

I know that this probably will not work out, but hey maybe I'll learn something. I am headed into a Summer Analyst program at a BB. I thought I might as well try applying straight into PE + other buy-side roles for after graduation.  I know I'll get hate for this, but I cannot tell which roles consider undergrads. Some say they don't, but I know people moving full time into those programs.

Have I just totally missed the cycle?/ how can you tell which programs recruit will take undergrads?

The roles will post later in the summer, similar timing to FT. Just like banking, you need to network heavily, the online application will be a black hole if they even post one.

That said a lot of these MF programs take like 5-10 analysts total, and some of them interned for the firm sophomore year. More and more MFs are starting to add/expand analyst classes (BX for example is increasing analyst class size this year) but the spots are still super limited. Next to impossible to land these unless you're from a target or have some crazy hook (saw someone who was an Olympian go to one of these analyst programs, for example). Your average semi target or non target kid who clawed into BB IB will have to wait for associate recruiting to take a swing at getting into a MF.
