Ladies & Gents - the time has come: despite the job of a PE Associate/VP at the likes of Advent, H&F, Bain Capital, CVC, Carlyle, Apax etc. is intellectually stimulating, to be in this game for the long-term culture and sustainability are key. therefore, if you could pick any PE firm in London to optimize the prestige/tier vs, culture/lifestyle trade-off, where would you go to?

H&F has probably the worst combination of hours / atmosphere in London.
Heard similar, but at least they have excellent performance for a rather large fund.
Advent and Apollo are 2 mega cap PE funds which still somehow manage to produce top tier returns for investors. Your souls would likely be crushed at firms like these.
Have heard good things about KKR's culture
