TPG Client and Capital Formation Group?

Hi All,

Recently received info from a recruiter about an Analyst opening within the TPG Client and Capital Formation Team. Does anyone have insight into what this group does? Is this a good opportunity?

Thanks in advance!

It’s investor relations / fundraising. Similar to Apollo’s client and product solutions group and KKR’s client partner group. To the extent you want to pursue a career in fundraising it would be a good experience. There is a lot of hiring in this space by both the mega funds and more mid sized shops.

What I generally tell kids exploring these types of jobs is that everyone is lining up to write checks and far fewer people are looking to collect them. You can have a lucrative career in this space.
