Travel and Leisure PE - Players and Recruiting
Hi everyone, I'm looking at going into Travel and Leisure PE and I was wondering the main players and how recruitment works. I was looking at KSL Capital and it seems all of their associates are JPM/MS/GS level REGAL group alums, or from other top RE groups. I was wondering some of the other players in the space.
Further, is not working in a REGAL/RE focused group is a dealbreaker for having any chance at working at these firms or could learning RE modeling somewhat bridge that gap?
Starwood Capital is well known in the space but is EU focused

It helps to have REGL group background unless you can teach yourself RE modeling (not that it's particularly hard)
KSL Capital is considered the best Travel and Leisure PE firm?
Following up on this. Are there any other travel and leisure PE firms of note? How about any real estate PE funds raising capital to buy distressed hotels?
