Trying to get back into PE
Anyone have any advice for someone that did 2 years in private equity as an analyst. Then left and became a green beret (18D). And is now trying to get back into PE?

I’m not familiar with any of them, but I’ve heard a few times that there are prominent groups that help connect veterans to firms across finance including PE.
I’d recommend making sure you briefly summarize your background in the cold or warm emails you send as well.
The military connection is very fraternal, point being I’ve seen vets help each other out for job opportunities, interviews, etc. so it would probably be helpful to search for folks who likewise have military history (even if their’s isn’t as cool as the special forces).
Big respect. On top of the comment above, I would reach out to the big headhunters and update them with your profile and what type of firm you’re looking. I’d target healthcare funds and groups and make sure you’re refreshed on technical /modeling skills
I bet you’d also get solid traction at A&D or GovTech focused PE firms like Arlington Capital Partners / others in the DC area.

Go to HSW bro. You’d back in for sure
lol what crazy odds man. i am an incoming a1 who has been thinking about doing this after 2yrs (all analysts exit)
if you could go back, would you do it again?
Without a doubt. I don’t regret doing two years in M&A either.
