Most active in the UK LMM/MM growth market and will only take minority stake in businesses. Has a VC, growth and public equities platform while being sector agnostic. Great culture and people. Not sure how comp stacks up to their competitors but I would imagine below an equivalent buyout

Comp is not good. Notoriously low payer - but culture is decent, good amount of volume, people get decent exits.

For growth investing at a different firm, would it be preferable to starting at a BB?

I think part of bonus / comp is tied to deployment.
Salary - had heard from someone there they just about got to six figures base after about 5/6 years there and around 6 years of experience before that. So VP sort of level.
Would do IB first and then PE, at least for a couple of years. BB will keep doors open.
