Understanding legal docs
Does anyone have any tips to gain a better understanding of legal docs such as SPAs or Credit Agreements? I find they are written in a foreign language and I often struggle to efficiently read and understand specific points. Any tips and thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Every time you have a question, write it down, and then at the end of the day call your firm’s lawyer and run through the list. That is quite literally why you pay them. Then they explain them because that is part of their job and boom you know it next time.
