Updated views on Chicago PE? GTCR/MDP/BDT
All - interviewed with one of these funds recently. Does anyone have any updated views on comp/culture/experience at one of the above? Older information is way pre-COVID. Thanks!

Career Resources
I know MDP and GTCR are around $300 all in for associates. Both well respected in their own right MDP just had a final close on a $5bn fund in June 2021 and GTCR closed a $7.5bn fund in November 2020. GTCR is interesting because they sold a part of the GP to Blackstone which allows them to access Blackstone's Operations team. Not sure what specifically you are looking for but all shops are reputable. BDT has a solid reputation but I do not know much about them as they operate in a weird PE/ merchant bank vertical.
GTCR is highly dependent on the group you are placed in. BDT is really lowkey but I've heard great things. They're raising $13B this year, so it'll be the biggest fund in Chicago
