In the sources & uses of the Full LBO Example 3 in the WSO Guide - Why is the 30 existing net debt not counted into total uses ? (and therefore sponsor equity lower than it should be?)

I didn't look at it, but I think its because you are just assuming the debt, so no need to refinance.
it's a mistake. I remember looking at this. The debt is being paid off. If u look at BS, the pre LBO debt is 0 post transaction and so if it wasn't being paid off, the pre LBO debt balance would have been > 0. Would be nice if WallStreetOasis.com could verify this as I never pointed this mistake out
