US Office Set-Up

Hi all,

I am working for a European mid-market PE (~13bn AUM) and will be moving to NYC to open an office in the US (NYC area). What are the leading databases to gain (financial) information on private mid market companies in the US? We currently work with EU specific databases, as well as CIQ, however I feel they mostly focus on public companies. Any experience/input greatly appreciated.

All private company databases are pretty spotty at best, IMO.  But popular tools are Pitchbook, SourceScrub, and one or two more that I can't think of but will try to remember and post.  SPS is another really interesting tool but is focused more on intermediaries. On that note, if you are looking for someone to lead US business development, happy to chat!
