VC/AM → Growth Equity — realistic transition?

Currently ~2 YOE, with experience in early-stage VC investing and now at a large asset manager doing LP/fund investing across PE/VC.

Looking to recruit for growth equity roles around the 2–3 YOE mark and trying to figure out the best way to position the background.

For anyone who’s made a similar transition or hires for growth:

* How transferable is this background, and what are the biggest gaps I should address?
* Any specific courses/resources you’d recommend for GE recruiting/interviews (Peak Frameworks, WSO, etc.)?
* Is an Associate-level move realistic, or should I expect to come in at Analyst?
* Would you try to leverage relationships with growth funds in the current portfolio, or is that unlikely to translate into recruiting opportunities?
* Anything else you’d do over the next 12–18 months to make the transition?

Would appreciate any advice/perspectives.
